GLP‑1 medications are everywhere in the news. But what are they, how do they work, and what do we really know about long‑term results? This lifestyle medicine focused class provides a clear, evidence‑based overview to help you better understand this rapidly growing area of care.
In this session, we’ll review what GLP‑1s are and how they affect appetite, blood sugar regulation, and weight. We’ll also discuss what current research shows about outcomes over time, potential benefits and limitations, and how lifestyle behaviors such as nutrition, movement, sleep, and stress management play a critical role alongside or independent of medications.
